ECONOVA – Melilli: we actually operate to satisfy the sulphur solidification needs of all the refineries located within Sicily.

ECONOVA – Taranto: we actually operate to satisfy the sulphur solidification needs for working on an exclusivity basis for the ENI’s Refinery of Taranto (Apulia – Italy).

ECONOVA – Sarroch: we actually operate to satisfy the sulphur solidification needs for working on an exclusivity basis for the Saras’ Refinery of Sardinia (Sarroch – Italy).

The current contracts are evolving to a medium long term duration, based on a pricing structure which ensures Econova the realization of a minimum volume of revenues, by a “take or pay” system.
In fact, in all the contracts the scope of work consists in a global service of activities.
Until now, Econova has solidified over 1.300.000 tons liquid sulphur, with a last three year average production of 150.000 tons per year, and a prediction of 170.000 tons per year for the next 5 years.

SARAS Project: Econova extended its long heritage of sulphur projects in Italy by managing construction of the Italian’s first Sandvik RF High Speed installation.
The very old flakes units were not anymore able to solidify the actual refinery capacity putting Saras in the very dangerous situation to shoot down the refinery.

The Saras effort—delivered safely, ahead of schedule —included the construction /revamping of area to produce 40,000 metric tons of sulphur per year.

The project included construction of:

• materials handling equipment and storage
• n.3 Sandvik RFHS units to solidify the molten sulphur
• pipelines for the main product and utilities
• electrical installations providing power for an entire program
• maintenance, administration, and support facilities
• equipment operation and running

The project will reach mechanical completion in Q1/2017.
